HABITAT: DWELL AND DELIGHT IN LOVE
What does it mean for GOD to inhabit His people; For you and I to reside in Him?
“My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God’s Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion. And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he’s listening. And if we’re confident that he’s listening, we know that what we’ve asked for is as good as ours.” —1John 5:13-15 [Message]

BE JESUS • BE YG
HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO CONTAIN A WATERFALL?
It’s impossible! It spills out from the river or deep crevice from which it flows, and there is no stopping it—as long as it remains connected to its never-ending source.
God’s LOVE operates in the same way.
When we are connected to the ultimate Source of LOVE, it becomes difficult to keep or contain it. It bubbles and flows freely through us in countless ways, falling wherever God chooses it to go. Dry ground is refreshed by its abundance, and new life grows along the water’s edge.
In Mark 12:28–31, Jesus calls us to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength—and to love our neighbors as ourselves. When God dwells within us and our souls are drenched by the Holy Spirit, that love bears fruit.
At Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church, one expression of that fruit is REVIVE Community Care and its mission to SERVE LOVE.
That love looks like groceries and essential supplies for approximately 500 families every other week. It looks like free clothing, meals and supplies for neighbors experiencing homelessness, housing assistance, and vision and dental care for those without insurance.
It also looks like Essential Packs filled with non-perishable food, hygiene supplies, and other necessities—equipping church members to serve someone in need wherever God places them.
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” — Mark 12:3
