Where do you find shelter? A family, like a firmly rooted tree, offers much of what we need in the seasons of life, and we especially seek it during the holidays. Where are you rooted in love?

Still finishing leftovers from Thanksgiving dinners, we may be wondering if we are not the unworthy and unqualified leftovers in God's plans. Apostle Paul explains that God loves the weak, the lowly, and the dispised in order to glorify Himself so that no one may boast. God loves leftovers, and we fit in just right.

Jesus promised the Holy Spirit would come and that He would empower believers to witness to the ends of the earth.  This promise was fulfilled at Pentecost and now the Spirit desires to empower us to go forward likewise.

In our world we have countless options for just about everything.  We can choose where we live and where we work but how do we choose our Faith Tribe?  The scriptures reveal the True Tribe of God and during the next several weeks we are going to see Christ Jesus revealed as The Way, The Truth and The Life.

At a first glance there is not much to learn from the book of Numbers. It portrays a people on the move involved in disobedience and rebellion. But looking more closely one can learn powerful lessons in courage and discover the God of forgiveness and love.
